We are Puck, Luka and Alicia, and we proudly represent Mirthe Scheringa Photography.

Her work is designed with a strong focus on shape, colour and composition. At the same time, they are designed to make a statement — subtly present, yet unmistakably powerful.

Mirthe Scheringa Photography is based in the Netherlands, Mirthe works for an international audience of art lovers. For the Lissabon trade market, she has created three special new works: Azulejo Bacalhau, Bandeira de beleza no.1, Bandeira de beleza no.2

Azulejo Bacalhau

For this project, Mirthe loved creating something unique especially for this event. She named this piece Azulejo Bacalhau. It was inspired by the arty Azulejos and the Dutch version, the Delft Blue tile, which is Mirthes favorite and you can find it everywhere in her home. She thought it would be a beautiful bridge to use the artworks, weaving a bit of the Netherlands and Portugal together. The idea of ​​using the tiles arose, but she felt that something typically Portuguese had to be created with them. That's when Mirthe decided to chose codfish because it's the national dish, and fish dishes immediately remind her of sun and summer. Therefore, it was a simple choice to combine these two elements in an artistic piece made of blue painted tiles and the shape of a codfish and Azulejo Bacalhau was born!

Bandeira de beleza no.1

For this project, Mirthe loved creating something unique, especially for this event. When you think of Portugal, you immediately thinks of the flag. It represents national pride and a unique symbol with a rich history. While in the Netherlands the flag is often visible mainly on national holidays, many other European countries display theirs with a natural pride. Mirthe always finds that truly fascinating to see. For this series, that pride simply had to be present.
The deep green of the flag represents hope, the powerful red the blood of the heroes who defended the nation. Mirthe translated that symbolism into two unique images by working with beauty products. After all, makeup is more than just aesthetics; it's a form of self-expression. It's a way to show who you are and what you stand for.
Just like a flag, makeup tells a story—about identity, about pride, and about the power of visibility. In this work, these two forms of expression converge.
