Maintenance of the paper
Each print is printed on museum-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. This acid-free cotton paper is specially developed for long-term archiving and, in combination with pigment inks, offers exceptional color fastness.
For optimal conservation, we recommend:
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight
Framing with UV-resistant glass or museum-grade acrylic
Use of acid-free mounts and mounting materials
A stable environment (18–22°C, 40–55% relative humidity)
We recommend wearing gloves when handling the print. Always handle the print by the white edges to prevent staining and scratching.
It is important that the print is not placed directly against the glass to prevent condensation and adhesion. When a work is not framed, it should be stored flat in an acid-free archival folder with protective interleaves.
Under these conditions, a Fine Art print can retain its quality and color stability for many decades. Proper presentation and storage are essential for long-term preservation.
Mirthe Scheringa Photography is not responsible for maintaining the quality after shipment. This is your own responsibility, and we therefore advise you to follow these guidelines.
